Thank You for Choosing Nala’s Naturals
Every meal and every treat we make is handcrafted in small batches using whole ingredients you’d recognize from your own kitchen. There are no fillers, no preservatives and nothing made to sit on a shelf. Real food prepared with intention, the same way I cook for Nala at home. Your purchase supports a small, independent brand built on quality, transparency and care. I’m grateful you’re here and I’m excited for your dog to taste the difference that fresh food can make.
Welcome to Nala’s Naturals

Storage:
Because these meals contain no preservatives, treat them exactly the way you would treat real food in your own kitchen: refrigerate promptly and freeze what you aren’t planning to use within a few days
Feeding Nala’s Naturals Meals
Fresh meals work a little differently than kibble and that’s part of the magic. Each pouch is cooked gently with whole ingredients-the same way I prepare food for Nala at home-so you can use them in the way that fits your routine and your dog’s needs.
As a Topper:
Use any meal as a nutritious topper to brighten your dog’s bowl. A few spoonfuls mixed into their regular food adds moisture, aroma and whole-food benefits that most dogs respond to immediately. It’s one of the easiest ways to make mealtime exciting without changing their entire diet.
As a Complete Meal:
If you’d like to feed fresh full time, that’s where Nala’s Naturals shines. A rotation of meals like Chicken, Triple P, Beef and a pouch of Salmon each week gives a wider range of natural micronutrients than relying on a single formula. Variety is one of the most underrated keys to long-term wellness for dogs and humans. There’s no strict formula to follow. The goal is simply to offer different whole foods across the week, so your dog gets the nutritional “spread” nature intended. Think of it a s creating your dog’s version of Nala’s bowl. A mix of proteins; gentle carbs like rice or polenta; vegetables for color and micronutrients and broth for hydration and aroma and minerals.
A Note About Real Life
A lot of people love their pets deeply but don’t always have time to cook the way I cook for Nala and that’s okay. Fresh feeding doesn’t have to be all or nothing. Even one fresh meal or topper each day can make a meaningful difference. As with any diet change, especially if your dog has special needs, it’s best to work alongside your veterinarian. Every dog is unique and your vet can help guide portioning and transitions so your pup enjoys the benefits of whole food meals comfortably.
Serving Tips:
Fresh meals can be served straight from the refrigerator, but many dogs enjoy their food slightly warmed. Heating brings out the natural aroma of the broth and meats- the same way a warm meal is more inviting to us.
Warm for 15-30 seconds in the microwave to release aroma and soften the texture.
Stir after warming to ensure there are no hot spots.
Serve slightly chilled if your dog prefers cold meals or in warm weather.
Always thaw frozen portions in the refrigerator, not on the counter, to protect freshness.
Treats: How they’re made and how to keep them fresh
Our treats are handcrafted in small batches using the same priciples as our meals-real ingredients, simple recipes and no preservatives. Each treat starts with a dough made from whole grains, broth and slow cooked proteins, then baked low and slow to bring out aroma and flavor. After baking they’re gently airdried to create that crisp satisfying texture dogs love.
Because they’re real food, our biscuits behave like real food
They stay crisp longest when kept sealed in their pouch or a small airtight container.
Puerto Rico’s warm, humid air can soften treats if they’re left out, sealing between uses keeps them at their best.
Refrigeration or freezing is recommended the same way some of use treat our salt and spices here on the island so they don’t pull moisture form the air.
If a biscuit softens, it’s still safe and normal for treats without fillers or artificial hardeners
Every ingredient serves a purpose; nourishment, flavor or texture, nothing else. These treats are meant to feel homemade- because they are
No preservatives means the food behaves like a home cooked meal, it must be refrigerated or frozen to preserve freshness
Our meals contain real meat, fresh vegetables and natural fats which can spoil if left at room temperature.
Moisture-rich recipes (unlike dry kibble) support digestion but also require proper cold storage.
Keep meals and treats in the refrigerator and use within 3-5 days after opening-just like leftovers you’d prepare for yourself
Freeze portions you won’t use right away; thawing in the fridge keeps texture and nutrients intact.
Avoid leaving opened meals out on the counter-bacteria grows quickly in fresh, unprocessed foods.
